Meet Dr. Carlos Suadi

Dr. Suadi earned his undergraduate degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, his dental degree from LSU, and has been practicing independently for 25 years. Prior to this, he served in the Marine Corps Reserve and is a veteran of Desert Storm.

Dr. Suadi is committed to providing his patients with the most modern, efective dental care available. So, he has taken countless hours of continuing education to stay current on the latest developments in the field, including innovations in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, dental implant restoration, and mini dental implants.

Dr. Suadi takes pride in giving back to the community he loves. One of the many ways he does this is by offering free dental care to handicapped individuals who can’t afford treatment.

Beyond helping his patients and spending time with wife and three children, Dr. Suadi loves finding a moment to relax with a fishing pole in his hand.

You’ll love the rest of our team, too.

The entire BR Dental Care family is dedicated to making your experience as comfortable,
efficient and effective as possible! It’s an honor to serve you and your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do I need to brush my teeth?

Dr. Suadi recommends brushing your teeth at least twice daily to avoid the accumulation of food particles and plaque. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles and a small strip of fluoride toothpaste. When you brush your teeth, move the brush in small circular motions to reach food particles that may be under your gum line. Hold the toothbrush at an angle and brush slowly and carefully, covering all areas between teeth and the surface of each tooth. It will take you several minutes to thoroughly brush your teeth.

When you come in for a cleaning, our experts will be sure to educate you on the most effective ways to brush and floss at home!

How often should I floss?
For areas between the teeth that a toothbrush can’t reach, use dental floss to remove food particles and plaque. Dental floss is a thin thread of waxed nylon that is used to reach below the gum line and clean between teeth.

It is very important to floss between your teeth every day. Floss at night to make sure your teeth are clean before you go to bed. When you first begin flossing, your gums may bleed a little. If the bleeding does not go away after the first few times, let a staff member know at your next appointment.

How is a healthy diet related to my overall health?
At BR Dental Care, we know that your oral health and overall systemic health are closely connected. Eating healthy foods and maintaining a proper diet are vital to your dental health. Cavities are less likely to occur when you avoid sugary food and drinks, since they coat your teeth and promote cavity-causing bacteria. Eat healthy foods and brush your teeth regularly to fight cavities. Drinking water regularly also helps flush food particles from the teeth.
How important are dental checkups?
In addition to maintaining a proper diet and daily brushing and flossing, it is important that you visit our office about every six months for exams and cleanings. Both your dentist and dental hygienist have been professionally trained to thoroughly clean and take care of your teeth in a way that you cannot on your own. Exams give your dentist a chance to evaluate your dental health and help prevent any serious problems.

During the regular cleanings, you can expect your dentist or hygienist to gently perform the following tasks, which are so important for great oral health:

Scaling
Root Planing
Polishing

Attending regular cleanings will help you avoid unnecessary dental problems.

How can I promote my child’s dental health?
After performing a thorough cleaning and careful exam, we will help your child develop good hygiene habits and learn to effectively brush and floss each and every tooth. If children learn to implement these practices in daily life while young, they will create the foundational habits that help prevent disease, decay, and unnecessary pain throughout their lives. Teach your child to keep these habits and to attend regular dental appointments so he or she will benefit from great dental health and confidence in a brilliant, beautiful smile.
